Shatter Me was planned as a TV adaptation of the book of the same name by Tahereh Mafi. Film rights were initially purchased by 20th Century Fox prior to the book's publication, with Fox-based Chernin Entertainment attached as producer.[1] The screenwriter was Mike Le. No cast or director had been announced before the project was ultimately canceled.
